Hit the road Jack

Its about time I went on a vacation! Even though it was only about 30 hours long, it was so nice to just get away with my girls! We had a blast. We left work on Saturday afternoon and drove to Shreveport, LA. Barely 3 hours, it was perfect- and we were out of Texas! The drive was beautiful and it reminded meof driving through the canyons back home with all the trees and green that East Texas has. We didn't do a whole lot except dance the night away and gambled. But only a little bit of gambling. Its so boring. Except Blackjack, but the buy in was $25.. thats too much. I stuck to the penny slots and lost 24 dollars.. ALSO- they had a midget KISS cover band.. yes, all midgets. Its a travelling sort of thing from Vegas. Sadly we didn't get to see them perform, but they did come to the club we were at later that night. It was pretty sweet.

This is what my Valentines Day was - Setting up this beauty for my Sis and the hubby! Kent and I surprise Cami... She didn't even know I was babysitting - thats how good I am at playing it off! I went early to the hotel room and decorated it.. I had way too much fun if you can't tell...

After a long and grueling process... We decided to sell Bennie the Beagle. As cute as he was, we just worked too much to keep him, so he is gone. I sold him to a lady who was so excited to have him. She had had a dog for 18 years that they finally had to put to sleep and wanted a new puppy. Sounds like a great home right?


Well, that was on December 23. On January 7, my friend sends me the link to a craigslist posting. For what you ask? Oh, the same lady I sold him to, was re-selling him again! We called on it and she has just sold him that morning! Poor puppy. He's a total orphan.

the update

I've totally been neglecting my blog. Its just that I have been stealing internet for so long so it was faulty and uploading pictures on a faulty connection is not fun. But now I have my own internet that actually works. So for everyone who cares, I will now be telling you about my life.

Firstly, I have discovered a love for dead trees in the winter. I don't know why and don't think I ever will know why, but I think they are pretty. This is a picure I took while driving.

Secondly -My friends and I went to visit our friend Maren's grave. She passed away this summer from diabetes. We went to visit her for her birthday, took her some flowers and ate some cinnamon rolls in her honor. Next time we go, we will take some suger cubes.
